Jeremy & Jacqueline, 10-31-11 Halloween Themed
Wedding at
Memories at Sunset, Rev. Stacey K. Miles Officiating
The Wedding Ceremony:
On
this night, two souls among us cry out for union. They have walked
together for a time now and they no longer wish to walk alone.
Without sin or shame, Jeremy and Jacqueline stand tonight to promise
to love each other completely, without restraint, in sickness and in
health, in plenty and in poverty, in life and beyond, where they
shall meet, remember, and love again.
So, welcome one
and all, gathered on this dark Halloween night to bear witness to
this ceremony which shall unite Jeremy and Jacqueline in matrimony.
From the night we come, to the night we go,
Cursed or blessed to walk the Moonlight alone.
Sometimes another soul walks our path,
Then two become one, in love everlasting.
Jeremy and Jacqueline, you have found your everlasting love, and you
stand before me to promise yourselves to one another, to create a
bond that will be with you in every time and in every place
throughout the journey of your lives together as kindred spirits and
soul mates.
Jeremy, by the life that courses within your blood, and the love
that resides within your heart, do you take Jacqueline to your hand,
your heart, and your spirit, to be your chosen one?
With the love that resides within your heart, please repeat the vows
you will keep in life and beyond after me:
I,
Jeremy, give you, Jacqueline, my unconditional love.
I
promise to be your strength when you are weak.
To
be your comfort when you grieve.
To
provide for you in times of need.
And to laugh with you in times of joy.
I will stand
between you and all which would harm you.
I will never betray you, for you are my Heart, my Soul and my Life.
***
Do
you have a ring for your bride? Please place this ring on
Jacqueline’s finger and repeat after me, “From this day forth, my
soul flows with your soul. In you, I have found the one to light my
days and warm my nights.
You are my love for all my life. With this ring, I thee wed.”
Jacqueline, by the life that courses within your blood, and the love

Do
you have a ring for your groom? Please place this ring on Jeremy’s
finger and repeat after me, ““From this day forth, my soul flows
with your soul. In you, I have found the one to light my days and
warm my nights.
You are my love for all my life. With this ring, I thee wed.”
May these rings be blessed and forever be an endless symbol of your
love and the promises made on this night.
Marriage is not merely a bond of the flesh; it is a binding of
souls. When you touch one another, you do not embrace only the
body. You touch the spirit as well. The union of flesh is sacred
and beautiful, but the union of souls is forever. Even when death
separates you, that bond will remain.
If you will lay your hands on one another’s, palm to
palm, flesh to flesh.
These are the hands of your best friend, young and
strong, sacred and beautiful, and full of love for you on this, your
wedding day.
These are the hands that will passionately love you and
cherish you through the years, and with the slightest touch will
comfort you in times of darkness.
These are the hands that will hold you when fear or
grief comes your way, and give you strength when you fall to your
knees.
These are the hands that will wipe the tears from your
eyes, tears of sorrow and tears of joy, tears of triumphs and tears
of disappointments.
These are the hands that will tenderly hold your
children, and work besides yours as together you build your future.
These are the hands that will give you support and
encouragement as you reach for your dreams, and tighten as you
struggle through failures and disappointments.
These are the hands that will lift your chin and brush
your cheek as they raise your face to look into eyes that are filled
with overwhelming love for you that will surpass the test of time.
And lastly, these are the hands that even when wrinkled
and aged will still be reaching for yours, still giving you the same
unspoken tenderness with
just a touch, as they do today, your wedding day.
If you will
close your eyes and feel the life coursing through one another’s
veins, and the love in one another’s hearts, and say, (both repeat
together) “Today, tomorrow, forever, I pledge my love and
faithfulness through all eternity.”
Jeremy and
Jacqueline, above you are the stars, below you are the stones. As
time passes, remember, like the star should your love burn brightly,
like the stone should your love be firm. Be close, yet not so close
that you restrict one another. Possess one another, yet grant each
other the freedom to grow. Be understanding and compassionate, and
have patience with each other, for storms may come, but they will
quickly pass.
Jeremy and Jacqueline, it is with great honor and by the power of
your love to now pronounce you
Husband and
Wife.
May your love so endure that its flame remains a guiding light unto
you.
To
all here tonight, it is with great honor to present to you for the
first time, Mr. & Mrs. Jones
Jeremy, you may kiss your bride!
